Brixen's local mountain Plose is known for its fabulous 360-degree view of the UNESCO World Natural Heritage of the Dolomites as well as for the wide range of activity possibilities. The MountainCarts take you on three wheels over 9 km from the mountain station of the Plose cable car to the valley station. Speaking of wheels: you can bike along the valley bike trails through Brixen and its surroundings or the Brixen Bikepark on the Plose with trails in various levels of difficulty. Adults, children, experts and beginners will all find the perfect trail.
The Brixen Region
With the first snowfalls you can experience the beautiful winter landscape on the winter hiking trails around Brixen. You can enjoy the sunny winter days with snowshoes or winter shoes. Also Mount Plose opens its doors again and invites to experience a descend on the wide and sunny slopes. The legendary “Trametsch“ slope with 1,400 metres of descent and 9 kilometres of skiing pleasure is an absolute must try for every skiing enthusiast. The 9 kilometres long toboggan run RudiRun is one of the longest runs in the Alps.
